Texas Trip and Wildfire Season!

I went down to the Rio Grande Valley to attend my youngest sister’s high school graduation. She graduated from Edinburg North High School along with 660 other graduates. While down in the Valley I enjoyed some good food and being with my family.

I had a great time in Texas and I was able to bring back home to Utah, my two youngest brothers back with me to visit for a while. We didn’t get to SLC until 3 am on Tuesday morning. Our flight had been originally schedule to arrive at midnight Tuesday but due to several delays we didn’t get to SLC until late. We decided to spend the night there and then went to Ruth’s Diner in Emigration Canyon. The restaurant always serves a plate of biscuits for the table with some butter and jams when you come in.

We made the two hour drive back home after lunch and on our way to Helper we saw two wildfires. One is still burning about 4 miles north of Helper. As of right now the Bear Fire covers about 10,000 acres and is 10% contained.
