to take our picture!
I’ve fallen behind on my posts for our trip! We’re currently in our Airbnb in Portland so I am going to do my best to remember everything we’ve done in the last couple of days.
We went to Pike Place Market in Seattle and spent a large part of the day there. We had quite a bit of different foods from a variety of vendors. If you have ever seen YouTube travel videos about the market I’m sure you’ve seen clips of fishermen throwing fish across aisles at each other. This has been stopped due to Covid-19.
There were a lot of vendors and people but their were definitely some empty stalls. I’m not sure if that was because it was a Thursday or again because of the pandemic. One thing Olivia and I noticed is that about 99% of people wear masks in Seattle even if they are walking around in public in groups or by themselves.
After spending a large part of the day at the market we decided to drive to Bellevue to the LDS temple. The grounds were beautiful and the tulips were blooming.

So much fresh produce and fruit
We tried some of the famous Beecher’ cheese
Tulips and other flowers for sale
Good Russian food

You can donate your change here and it goes to several relief efforts in the area (food banks, homeless).
Some really good beet juice!
Olivia had to finish writing a poem for a reading later in the day.
We split a crepe while she wrote her poem.
We also shared some good fish and chips later.

Olivia wanted to feed the seagulls and got bit (nothing major).
